I can't help it. I guess I am boring because I don't like reality shows. The half-hour sitcoms do nothing for me. Don't like vampires, sci-fi, and pretty much the other "dark" shows that are the big thing on tv these days. But start talking forensics....DNA....real-life crime investigations......I perk up. I do like some of the HGTV shows because I love inspiration. And PBS....oh ya....Antique Roadshow, Genealogy Roadshow, and Michigan sites....are the best.
There is one show that has been at the top of my list since its beginning. It's NCIS. Each character is unique and the camaraderie is refreshing. Of course it is just a show. The characters are not real. But in real life, connecting with people can be the same way. It is like when you go to your job every day and the people you work with can become friends. The kind of friends that can last a lifetime. That's how it has been for me during my career. I worked for two major companies. Each place I worked I met people that became life-long friends. So I guess I can say that I had my own kind of NCIS. And this has been a part of my happiness.
And that is why I like NCIS.
