There has been so much going on, I've had a hard time keeping up.
My job has been busy......and added to the routine stuff, I am trying to get everything in order before I retire. I am a procrastinator and keeping that in mind, I am trying to be diligent and doing what I can to be stress-free before my last days.
The holidays were fun. Wonderful family time. The boys are so entertaining and seeing how they are becoming best buds touches my ♥. Abbie is pure pleasure. She is the prettiest little baby girl ever and so happy and content.
January had two birthdays: Danny and Becky. Thanks to the flu, we delayed our birthday dinner until last week, but it was great. Menu: Spaghetti - all the accompaniments
- and pie and ice cream. Oh - and whip cream which the boys enjoyed immensely.
February: And our big adventure at hand is Becky, Scott & Ben's new (old) home. It's been a long process, but in two days it will be theirs. This is very exciting for all of us. They are moving to a bigger home on 2 acres. Knowing how they will put their stamp on the house and land is exciting. I know their visions and look forward to watch the transformation. We are fast-forward looking to many wonderful memories happening there.
Since I am a lover of winter, I am enjoying a true Michigan winter. The past few years were so mild and by the time spring arrived, I felt jipped that we didn't have normal winter weather patterns. But this year has been different. Of course we have broken records for warm/mild weather, but we are also having cold temps and snow. This past week we had new snow just about each day which is what I love the most. Accumulation with fresh doses each day keeps the snow beautiful and fresh. So I am a happy person. ♥
I have been reading some really good books, have quilt and other projects close at hand, and just enjoying the hibernation time of year. And since it is the weekend and I have Monday off - I'm happy.
Hoping you are having good days and 2013 is off to a good start.
