Brunch

I found out about this place from Rik.  So, I met Becky and Scott there this morning and had a wonderful meal.  We sat in a booth near the windows - overlooking the golf course which, of course, is totally covered in snow.  I've dined here before but never went for brunch.  Great food.  Great cup of joe.  Great service.

I procrastinate.  A lot.
But at least I have accomplished some stuff.
Unfortunately the baby quilt is not done.  :-(

You can always clean up and start over....but you can't not grab your camera and miss a Kodak moment like this.

Changing the package

sometimes I need to reinvent myself
everything staying the same-o, same-o doesn't always work for me
and not even realizing it, I was in for a jump start
getting new highlights and haircut turned into a big and unexpected change
I found myself telling Lily - I need highlights....I need a cut....
but what I was really saying.....cut all this....and this off......
and she said, how about doing more highlights.....like mine?
and I said yes!
and so about an hour and a half later.....
there I sat......a totally different me
and it felt good
because.......
when you lose 30 pounds.....you need to change the look
and I like it   :-)

Winter in Southeast Michgan

after all the hype on the news/weather where we were suppose to get 18-24 inches of snow

I predicted we wouldn't - and I don't mean to brag, but I was right

there was about 8 inches at my house - which was manageable

it's a good thing to be kept informed, but the media simply causes panic

I wish news/weather forecasts would be like they use to be - not overkill

but if this happens....forget the hoopla, let's just be surprised   ;-)
